One day, Rua's crush, Commander Garrett, was on the brink of death from a beast attack.
Rua healed him, which left her on the verge of death.
When she woke up, she learned that all the credit was given to Arianne,
and she finally saw her best friend's true color.
Devastated, Rua is lost and helpless when the second prince appears in front of her with a tempting offer.

My impression of Rua was that, perhaps due to her circumstances, she tended to underestimate herself.
However, I thought it was wonderful how she didn't get discouraged by her best friend's betrayal and was able to sublimate her desire for revenge, revealing her inherent strength. I'm also really looking forward to the "Devotion" part of "Revenge and Devotion"!
This was my first time participating in a "LIGHT ANIME", but the way the world depicted in the manga comes to life as it is through the animation, I think original fans will be able to enjoy the characters' beauty just as it is!

First and foremost, I was completely captivated by the incredibly beautiful artwork.
Swen, the character I voice, comes across as quite eccentric, or perhaps elusive and hard to pin down, especially in the early stages. However, as he interacts with Rua, he shows a truly wide range of expressions.
The recording sessions were also very enjoyable, held in a calm atmosphere.

The character I played this time, Ariane, is a girl with such a two-faced nature that it almost feels refreshing after a full circle.
The way she shows her hidden side only to Rua, while simultaneously gaining the trust of others, even feels like a talent.
I performed with the intention of creating a character that viewers would think, "She's such a pain!" so I'd be delighted if you could enjoy that aspect of her all the way to the end!

I'm Kazuki Ura, and I played Garotte.
Garotte is a kind man who cares deeply about others, with a strong sense of justice and a pure heart. However, because of this, he easily falls into other people's traps. I focused on portraying his earnest, straightforward nature.
I have many feelings about him, but I want to be Garotte's ally always.

This was actually my first time writing lyrics for an anime tie-in or a theme-based song, so it was both a really valuable experience and quite a challenge for me.
I started by reading the original manga many times, thinking about how to express the world of the story, and how to bring my own voice into the music for this anime.
Through that process of trial and error, we created a powerful song with a strong will — one that pushes forward with hope, even while being caught in a cruel fate, without ever forgetting the importance of love.

This song was written around the theme of betrayal and the ugliness of the human world.
People so often become trapped by hatred and jealousy, and when I thought about why the world can feel so suffocating, I realized that much of it stems from the imposition of one’s values onto others.
What one person believes to be right may not be the same for another, and when one side forces their values onto the other, that is where this ugliness arises.
In the midst of that, we feel loneliness — but also discover moments of kindness.
I tried to capture the foolish, sorrowful, yet beautiful aspects of human nature in this song.
It is an incredible honor to have my song accompany such a wonderful work.
